I don't have this one but it comes from two classic parents: WISPY RAYS, which has 17 registered kids, and SWALLOW TAIL KITE, which has 41, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is a very good plant. Don Herr does some nice things. I was so glad to see his HER BEST BLOOMERS got the Lenington All American Award this year.

This is a super plant in this climate! It consistently has been on my "top ten" list for the past few years from among the approximately 500 that grow here. Tall sturdy scapes and distinctive blooms make this one that visitors comment on too. Love this one!!

Julie - To be on your Top 10 of the 500 daylily cultivars that you own says a LOT! Your photos are gorgeous! What a real beauty! If it grows well for you in your state, it probably wouldn't do well here in the humid and hot climate of central Florida? But maybe I am wrong. If so, this may be one I need to consider adding to my garden. Love the blooms especially. I wonder how rust resistant it is? Anyone grow this cultivar in the south?

Aaron Brown is one of my favorite dayllies - such a beautiful flower and it is a pretty good/consistent performer here in SE Michigan. It will always be in my garden!

I already have Wispy Rays, how does this compare to it? I don't want both if they look pretty much the same.

I bought Aaron Brown last year because I love the pictures of the blooms. Nevertheless, I have become disappointed with it now because it never opens fully in my zone 9a garden.
