At times like this I am struck by zone envy. This will likely be the last time I have any "what's blooming" photos to post. Soon I will be putting the gardens to bed for the winter...ugh.
A few things in containers that have survived multiple frosts and a freeze --
Oxalis Molten Lava
Fireworks pennisetum
Diascia
Some garden perennials -
Flower Carpet rose, which usually blooms until it snows and gets brighter in color as the temps go down (and zone 5, so it shouldn't even grow here!)
Another anomaly - Black Adder agastache, rated at zone 6, blooms from June until snow flies
Toad lilies - variegata and Empress
Red valerian, coneflowers, and bugbane
Alpine strawberries and Pink Panda are usually among the first to bloom and the last to stop...still producing berries!
Lamium on my corner hill -
And this Gold Mound spirea just stopped me in my tracks. Not really blooming, but so pretty in its fall colors.
