Someone let me know that I have been conspicuously absent...my computer died and I cannot type well or post photos from my phone. Waiting for delivery of a new computer on Friday. In the meantime, I have been looking at all your wonderful posts. I had a few flowers here until a few days ago (unusually late for Minnesota) but they are all now covered by snow

We had a laptop that was really old (I guess now days over 10 years is old and it was older than that!)
We lucked out because when we bought our new Acadia, the window sticker was incorrect on the gas mileage by a little bit so they sent us a $1500. credit card gift certificate to be used however we wanted. We didn't want another laptop because it always stays in one place, and my DH didn't want a tower, so we ended up with an iMac. We really like it, but would not have paid that much had we not received the GC that paid for it. They had a really nice HP that was all in one, but it was much bigger than what we wanted. We have HPs at work and have been very happy with those. It all depends on what you're looking for. I usually go to the consumer reports to see what they are recommending. Good luck!!

I just got a Samsung Notebook 9 about a month ago and I love it!

I grabbed an early Black Friday deal on a cheapo Dell. I will probably get just what I paid for, but maybe I'll get lucky

Part of our reasoning was that we won't have to update again for quite some time since we hold on to them forever

My original 2004 HP lived 9 years but this Toshiba laptop, which I love, is just 3 years old and problems began in summer.

My Toshiba is at least 10 years old and would still work fine except the power port wore out so I can no longer charge it up, and the battery is dead. Nothing lasts forever

Our toshiba laptop was full.
