Lol. Yes it does jimard. I am a happy camper. Tired of rain, but being patient here. Lowe's, Walmart and the nursery are starting to get plants in and I'm chomping at the bits to have a look. But I'm being good. No buying of plants this year. Only ws'd seeds will be planted. I'm still excited, lol.

I just planted some of my seeds in pots this past weekend (still a lot more to go). Here's what went in the dirt so far:

Leek (American Flag and Varna)
Cucumber (National Pickling, Straight Eight, white)
Broccoli (Purple Peacock)
Basil (purple)
Tomatillo (pineapple)
Onion (Ailsa Craig, white sweet spanish, yellow spanish)
Eggplant (Rosa Bianca)
Brussel sprouts (long island)
Lobelia (blue heaven)
Hardy hibiscus
Floss Flower
Snapdragon (frosted sunset)
Delphinium (summer nights)
Tomatoes (tigerella, red pear franchi, Cherokee purple, roma, beefsteak, abe Lincoln)
Peppers (diamond, carnival blend)

I want to go back to the store and get more of the larger 'tomato' peat disk starting kits because I ran out but think they'll work better for my peppers. I am really excited to start growing some of these cool pepper plants!

We're way to far from the average last frosty date for me to plant the seeds that are to be direct sown yet, but I have enough to keep me busy for now, for sure!

If your Spring is as warm as my winter has been, you might try one small 'test-sowing" several weeks early. If you get lucky about frost, you might have some veggies a week or two earlier.

I speculate that my "last hard frost date" for spring 2016 will have been back in December 2015!

I'm sure that's true. I intend to test some cold weather crops early, like spinach/lettuces and a few others, for sure. No doubt I'll get carried away and try a whole smattering of them early, like corn, sunflower seeds, etc. Rolling my eyes.

I'm kicking myself a little for not getting garlic last fall, I really should have.

Those only grow until about June here , then they go dormant again , There is a larger of a Red German , back there also (the garden ) Difficult to work with here ,Soo I let them grow the way they want to ,
Walking onions are a fill in , kind of tough for an onion ,,the taste ,,

My old Garden leeks are up and sort of green , they keep frost burning some ,
Going slowly , with the Garden markers as I plant ,
Earlier the marking ID of my early sprouts are not there , so unidentified early Green Brassica , I will have , but that is all right with me , Tatsoi I know by the leaves

" No doubt I'll get carried away ..."

Me, too! I only have two states when gardening: postponing even STARTING the chores, and over-doing it to some grandiose degree. Invariably, once I get started, I don't come inside until the sun is going down.

I have chairs to sit on, outside, to rest my legs, but while I sit, I think about all the things that SHOULD be done. That list is a LONG list.

Having recently attended an ATP "Round-Up", it's nice to know that there ARE a few people in the world who don't think gardeners are crazy for being so impassioned.

Of course, all those people ARE crazy gardeners.

Hey everyone, I started a "Results" thread that we can all use.

The thread "Results" in DnD's All Seeds Swap

Make sure to post your pictures and results there so we can all follow along! Some of you haven't started yet, so just bookmark it for when you do. (With the early spring, it shouldn't be too far away!) A couple of you haven't posted updates in awhile, so skip on over and post some pictures, or atleast tell us what's happening, already! Big Grin

I look forward to finding out how your seedlings are doing!
