I have always liked trees in my surrounding landscape. It is a little sad in the autumn months when their leaves are gone. But they leave behind beauty if we look for it. The scene in this banner is directly behind my house across a cornfield. The sun was setting and made the tree branches stand out in contrast against the glowing light. I couldn't resist the picture.

Breathtaking!
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others.

Thanks everyone for the thumbs and comments. This is the original picture that I took the banner from. It was 3264 X 2448 pixels before I shrunk it to 1000 X 750. The color was a multi-assortment of shades and hues. The clouds made it look more dynamic since there was a cold front developing. I realize sunsets aren't everyone's 'cup of tea'. I find them irresistible and among nature's most beautiful phenomena .

Marilyn, I don't know if it's called a buttermilk sky, but as a kid I remember my older siblings playing this song around the house on our old "Victrola talking machine" (wind-up kind). As vaguely as I remember it was a 'catchy' up-tempo romantic tune.

Glad that you couldn't resist the picture. We get to enjoy it too!

Never heard of buttermilk sky before, but googling it and seeing the images, I'd say that is exactly what that is.

Some final thoughts: Thanks again everyone for your thumbs, acorns and comments.
At the risk of over-doing the subject matter of the post there is a link here to Wikipedia
more or less confirming a "buttermilk sky". Just food for thought. Thanks, and my
wishes to everyone for a great new year! Thumbs up
