Gay Parasol - I had this one for a long time, but let it go to make room for more modern ones.

Grape Expectations - It just didn't have very good form, and was much like some others that I liked better.

I have Irises still that bore me silly, but I have a very hard time eliminating them. They are sort of like old friends -- who may not be the most beautiful blooms in the garden, but they have stuck it out under conditions that newer Irises have just given up in. And every spring they burst open their blooms and say "I'm here -- again -- to grace your garden and brighten your life."

Nice pics of those you didn't want Tom!

Sherry's comment about Venita Faye reminds me. It acted up, then slowly died even though I tried and tried to rescue increases. I won't be getting her again.

One that I lost before bloom was Kid's Clothes, which was surprising because Burseens do well for me, and Tom's iris grow really well for me. So Tom - if you ever get another increase I would like to try again...... Whistling

And then there is this one:

The oh so pretty Secret Rites. It had a rot issue, but I was able to save it. I have increases planted in a couple of places. Going into it's 4th year and it has never ever bloomed!! Grumbling
I sent some to Greg to see if it liked PA better, and the rest will be out the door if there are no blooms this spring.

I have a few of those too, Mary Ann. People will ask sometimes why I have 'that' one and I just smile. One in particular is Buckwheat. It is a medium yellow and not an over bloomer in the spring but NEVER fails to bloom in the fall. It will always have a place in my garden. smiles

Leslie, I will check on Kids Clothes later after the snow melts. I did share a lot of that one last year for some reason it was popular, but, check with me on that later. Smiling

Bonnie - will put you down!

Thanks Tom!

I anthropomorphize a lot of inanimate objects unfortunately. I can't carve a pumpkin because then I feel bad when it dies. Odd trait I know!

It's not going to last, carving or no carving. I have no trouble discarding disgusting iris. the attitude helps when discarding seedlings.

If I grew seedlings I would probably be more picky. Cross the road when I get to it.

I have seen more than one Iris via photographs that I have thought, "Yuck" about them. Shrug!

Some chimeras of mine have been yucky, but in general I can't say I have seen any that disgust me.

Leslie, my Secret Rites looks on course to bloom. I'll keep you posted, but mines are all pretty stressed.

Leslie, when you spoke of carving a pumpkin, I immediately heard Linus from Peanuts. "You didn't tell me you were gonna kill it!"

Gypsy Gem went because I didn't like it's poorly formed blooms. I liked the colors though.

Hold My Hand is one that I think I don't have, but there's one rhizome that I couldn't tell if it was HMH or the one next to it, so I didn't want to pass it on unless I know. We'll see this spring.

Honky Tonk Blues is one I lost in a quack grass invasion years ago, I didn't replace it.
