Spring is on it's way! The best season of the year.

I've been looking for some new ones to add to my collection this year. I have a couple new ones from last fall that are evergreen, and have done very well over the winter.
I got these last week.

Hope this one made it through the wet winter/spring this year.

Pretty! I will have to watch see what survived the winter. Love the different textures of all those plants

All of the sedum are such a great addition to most any garden.

I took this photo this morning. So many ways to use our sedum/petrosedum. The little miniature type bulbs grow right up through the ground cover sedum. I am definitely goin to be adding more species tulip, tiny daffodils and other of the tiny iris this way. Now on to search for more these amazing bulbs.

And they are prolific multipliers. I really love the purple against the gold/green of 'Angelina'.

Me too!! I have my Angelina growing in semi shade with ajuga (that has purple blooms and the leaves are purple in the summer and autumn) Really pretty together!

That sounds like a beautiful combination Greg. Maybe you could take a photo for us?

Sedum 'Lime Twister' is coming out of dormancy with a colorful bang. First winter for me with this plant, if you call what we had this year a winter. But it made it through a very wet and relatively warm winter. Both colonies are lovely. One planted in a container, the other in one of the holes in a raised bed. All the sedum are waking up and starting to show such promise.

Do you have it Chris? It is the sweetest sedum, with that lovely coloring all growing season. It needs sun to keep that coloring, it will turn more green without enough sun.

Got a tiny one late last summer. It's dormant right now though. Can't wait to watch it grow up!

Yes Bev, it is definitely a hardy sedum. Remember Chris Hansen bred it for Michigan winters.

How is you S. 'Pinky' doing?

Good! Funny you should ask, I just came in after weeding that container. Need to add soil to many oh my containers.

They look the same right now but in summer 'Pinky' has green leaves and 'Winky' is more blue-gray.

I need to go out and see if my 'Pinky' is looking pinker now.
