I'm with you, Marilyn. I love those tub trugs! Wish I'd thought of them to nominate. Smiling

We used to use the larger ones for scooping up new born baby goats. Stuff the kids in the trug, throw a lead on Mom, and that way one person could drag the whole crew up to a nice clean stall. Saved my bacon (so to speak Hilarious! ) many times!

@Legalily

Many years ago, I ordered 2 of the blue color "Pour & Store" watering cans directly from the manufacturer OXO. They're still the same price I paid ($24.99). You turn the spout back to the can when storing and back out when watering. I love them and am very happy I got them! Still in new condition. Holds up to 2 gallons of water.

https://www.oxo.com/products/g...

They state that they're out of stock right now on the watering cans, but you can submit your email address and they'll notify you when back in stock

Their website states free shipping on orders over $19 (Free shipping does not apply to cookware, metal and glass bakeware, glass food storage or small appliances), so even if you're just getting one watering can, shipping would be free.

I found that these leaked at the twist gasket after a few years. Bought one for my son, who reports leaking as well. Perhaps be cautious when twisting the spout back. Nice space saver. Mine was gray, so perhaps was a different vendor, don't remember, don't have it anymore.

Gardeners Supply sells those wonderful Tubtrugs and they have them in lots of colors. They also have a new multicolored one that tempts me mightily. Smiling

They are nice and flexible so you can fold them enough to grab both handles in one hand (which was what made them nice for carting baby goats). I have several and use them for all kinds of things, from gardening to housecleaning to carting in pellets for our pellet stove from spilled bags.

@Bonehead

My (OXO) have never leaked in all the years and uses I've had them. Maybe yours was another vender liked you stated.

I love those trugs, and can get them at my local feed store. I like to have a variety of sizes. Funny, my first one was purple and even though I now have both a red and orange one, I still call them my 'purple buckets.'

Marilyn, I've always had excellent luck with any OXO product, so likely it was a knock-off.

@woofie

Gardener's Supply is where I got my trug tubs. I've been buying them there for many years (over a decade, at least). They also have the 11 gallon size and the 3 & a half gallon size.

http://www.gardeners.com/buy/c...
http://www.gardeners.com/buy/c...

I've all three sizes, but not as much of the 3 & a half size. I've mostly the 11 gallon size.

I got the jelly bean trugs (one in each size) http://www.gardeners.com/buy/j... but the tubs aren't white like it shows in the pic.

My husband thinks I've enough trug tubs (I have lots and lots of them), but one can never have enough and I love them.

Over the years I've bought trug tubs at Lowe's, Meijer's, Kroger's, but they weren't the same quality as the ones I got from GS. One of the non GS tubs had the handle tear off when I was carrying stuff in it. They seem to be a little "thinner".

I agree, @Marilyn . The other ones don't seem as flexible. Our local hardware store also sells them; I've picked up a couple of the smaller ones from them. Heh, I also have some teeny tiny ones that only hold about a cup. Smiling

I've looked at the ones on GS several times and always wondered if they were as good as they seemed. Now I know. I love their products. Thumbs up Thumbs up
