As for myself, I thought it was a thread about you and Lucy and your posts would encourage responses. In that you have succeeded. Before throwing in the towel perhaps you should put it to the vote.

Sylvain,
I also refrained as to not take away from the Lucy theme.

I also tried not to move away from Lucy, Dad, and Gail. But did try to contribute (see corn snakes above) and ask advice about snakes, etc. So be it.

Aw, I've been loving hearing about you, Lucy and your family. I've never known anything about snake keeping, so it's been interesting. Please leave this thread going, and please post when you have the time. I'm loving hearing about your recipes and what you cook each day. All of it is unique to me.

I was late to the party but I, too, have so enjoyed this thread. I didn't realize you were wanting interaction, I thought you were our storyteller about your snake and all the good food and your Dad. I have really enjoyed it, I would be sorry to see it end.

Well, the stories were fun while they lasted. Sylvain is a pretty awesome person. I know I can't match any of his stories, lol!

I'm also hoping @Sylvain will reconsider. I hadn't detected any disappointment in his posts. His first post stated the purpose of the thread "Welcome, my friends to the show that never ends. Old friends, new friends, makes no difference here. This is a discussion thread where we laugh together, cry together, keep up with the goings-on in our lives. It's a place where never is heard a discouraging word and the sunshine is always present in our hearts." I'm sorry we disappointed him.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

I am afraid that after the "cleanup" at the end of this month, this thread will be gone and people will comment "over there" about some devious plot to be ugly to Sylvain . He will not think this is so, as he is a gentleman and apparently made what is a good decision for him. He will be undertaking a difficult task soon involving his Dad and Montreal and a long drive back. So I guess he simply does not have time for so much conversation.

I have also felt that the pressures of family, including selling the family home, have been part of Sylvain's decision. He had a problem on a DG thread a couple of years ago and went to the thread to which he has now apparently returned. He was comfortable there and probably finds it particularly hard at this time to adjust to a new group. I know I still have moments of missing the Old DG but they booted me for mentioning ATP so I can't go back either to encourage him to return or to see what new fictions are being made up about me.

It seems to be a time when some extra support would be useful for him but it's his choice. When DG goes belly up maybe he'll come back.

Pardon me for being dense but...um...what is this "cleanup" and where is "over there" please. I am assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that the over there part may mean the old DG but what is the clean up? Sorry for my ignorance.

Sylvain has chatted with a group on DG for a long time. I read and post both places. I have to keep up with Sylvain and Lucy, you know. Never thought I'd say that about a snake. Big Grin

I don't know what the "clean up" is either.
