I just discovered this thread and am so excited to find someone else that is interested in tissue culture! I am a total newbie at this but my nerd tendencies are taking over as physical strength declines for gardening. Sounds familiar right? I have a book here that I saw recommended called Plants From Test Tubes An Introduction to Micro-Propagation-Fourth Edition Lydia Kyte, John Kleyn, Holly Scoggins, Bark Bridgen Timber Press ISBN -13:978-1-60469-206-8

I am on my way to the airport now so can't get to it right now, but will look for information for you when I return home. Hurray!

You are most welcome. The book Plants From Test Tubes is a fabulous reference book and well worth every penny. I am struggling to get through some of it since I do not have any kind of science background (not even high school science) so I loose a lot of time looking up definitions and concepts while reading. I am just an avid back yard hobbyist that spends her summers gardening and her winters dreaming of gardening. Green Grin! I am supposed to be cutting back on my gardening... Glare but that makes me unhappy. I decided instead to focus more on the things I really enjoy like winter sowing, propagation and passing along my love of gardening to younger or newer gardeners that show an interest. The empty nest thing has provided a lot of opportunity to lean in to what I enjoy most. Thumbs up
