Yes, Gigi, I love your Scadoxus. I have to check on mine. I put mine outside, but the last time I looked at it, it looked as if it didn't want to wake up. Confused With all this rain we're getting, I'd better check on it and put it under some shelter. I'd hate to rot those bulbs. I promised one in a trade that I need to work on completing. I'm just having a terrible time this year with breathing problems, and it's limiting how much gardening I can do. I just got back from the Dr. with a prescription for another round of prednisone. Thumbs down

Thank You! all, the ball bloom is "fireball" Lily. I started with one bulb a few years ago and it had multiplied since then. I gave my friend a bulb 5 years ago and she has a few of them blooming around the same time now.

Deebie we cross posted. Mine usually blooms around this time of the year, I still have a few underneath these big orange balls that are just now starting to wake up. Hopefully that is the case with you.

Some succulents got taller, so had to cut some and replant back into container, thankful we are in a longer cool down this Spring, some remaining stem managed new leaves, free plants!

Started this one in last Fall, Nov 2015, before the rains came, just using an extra pastry container, seems shallow and wide enough, and my first time to use poultry grit. Poor haworthias and echeverias were in semi-dormant stage, just so hot all throughtout Spring to late Fall 2015.

I finally dug my living wreath out from under the wisteria where it spent the winter. Looks pretty good will need to clean it up a bit and add a few more plants. to the bare spots.

Holly, so that wreath survives the winter? Impressive! What kind of plants are in it?

Yes, The plants are sempervirens, there are several different varieties sometimes I tuck a few different sedums in there as well. I toss it under the wisteria each winter where it tends to get covered with leaves and just dig it out in the spring.

I've begun the task of moving all Holly's tropicals out of the GH and onto a trailer, to be acclimated to full sun in the somewhat shady driveway/nursery area. In about a week into their summer places in the yard. It will take most of the day and many need treated for aphids and spider which seems to appear as soon as I start leaving the GH door open a lot.

Went out to Ace and got a small, hand held, pump sprayer and treated most of the plants from the GH with Bonide systemic. That should take care of the problem.

Jeanie, do you do anything special to the coco fiber containers? Mine seem to dry out very quickly, I may try putting in a plastic liner. Any suggestions? Digging flower orders today but I will try and take pics of my containers soon.

Teresa, I do put a circle of plastic in the center of the bottom. It doesn't go up the sides, just covers about 3/4ths of the bottom. I had some small bubble wrap sitting around that I recycled for the purpose this year. I do use Miracle Gro moisture control potting soil in all my pots. Also, I keep a full watering can by each grouping of containers so they are easy to check and water if needed anytime I walk by because they do indeed dry out quickly. I have been meaning to try a product that looks like a piece of fabric and holds moisture...cannot remember the name of it.

Here's a few of my 2016 containers. Not really full and blooming yet. Some of the grasses and Speedwell were over wintered and are only 2-3 inches tall so far. Still have bunches of stuff to get into planters yet.
