Hi Teresa. Yes they do very well in zone 6b, they are alpine type plants so enjoy being covered with snow over the winter. If you have never grown them you might try acquiring a few that are already here in the U.S. to figure out where in your garden or containers they would do best. If you have hot humid summers they would want morning sun with filtered or bright light the rest of the day.
I look forward to seeing your new found planting experiment progress. Once you try them you will be hooked.

Have your reached the limit yet? On page one it makes me think you have enough orders? Does anyone have a few for postage then? Thanks!

I think this would be a very expensive way to get started in sempervivum. That is why I suggest buying locally, or on line. There might be some one here that has some they could send you for postage.

Sound advise!
I'm still a noobie, but I know you can buy many beautiful cultivars from vendors on the green pages for very, very reasonable prices!
Even someone like me, with very little self control when it comes to semps, can order up quite a few cultivars for not a lot of $.

Some of the vendors will be ordering EU cultivars, I assume you'll be able to order those online at some point in the future too! Hurray!

I and many other members are interested in trading as well. A really fun way to get new cultivars and make new friends! Thumbs up
Check others plant lists, maybe you have a semp that's in somebody's want list.

Wow Lynn Thank you so very much. I should have been able to find that out for myself but totally missed it. Once I find out how much the German order is going to cost I am going to place an order with Chris.

@turini I am concerned that if we do not get some plants before July the weather will be too hot and they will bolt to flower and be lost. Just wondering

I really, really hope I can practice at least some self control when I hear what's available!

I have to order enough to justify the shipping. oh man I have blinders on when it comes to semps. I can only see how lovely each and every one would look in my 'rock piles" nodding
Yep, no self control whatsoever!
