We ordered dwarf irises with a couple tall ones. So far ordered TB Mixed Signals from Keith Keppel. The Winterberry order was for dwarf irises.

I had 7 Discus, I started with 1 Blue Diamond from Petco and after I saw I didn't kill it I added 6 Red Turquoise I got from a hobby breeder in Western Mass, but I'm down to 4. I lost one after forgetting to turn the heater back on in the small tank they have been in. Too much stress. I lost a Blue Diamond I had bought from Petco. He made it a couple years but he had a deformity and probably was never a very hardy fish to start with. Also lost the runt of the Red Turquoises. I think it was a water quality issue. I am really supposed to change the water at absolute minimum once per week and I was down to once a month. PLus teh build up of mulm in the sand and too many snails were part of the problem I bet. The tank is 120 gallons so it takes a lot of time to do and a lot of water. I got lazy after 2 years of being good.

Here are some older pics from when everything was doing really well.

So we mainly grow irises, from dwarf to just a few tall bearded. We also have a Siberian bed which is full. 42 new for next year, although some are 'historic' (over 30 years from introduction.)

We start with the dwarfs & move along as the heights increase as the season goes later through the spring. Not much for fall as I sent the few rebloomers to our club's iris sales.
