Have not seen anything that looks like those photos.....my hostas look pretty healthy even though we haven't had rain.....

Both are very nice! I have Patriot that I like & a great big yellow & green one.....do not have a name for it.....also Henry Hudson....will take photos tomorrow.....

Here are my hostas...the first is humungous, but I don't know the variety....the second is Hudson Bay, not Henry Hudson.....getting senile!

I thought I'd be safe taking pieces from her garden because they all looked healthy and like they had been there for a long time.

I am boycotting big box stores for plants of any kind. It seems that all they offer are mislabeled and diseased plants these days. Plus I keep seeing warnigns that all their plants have been treated with neonatal insecticides.

I think that's true for some.....I know that some large local nurseries in my area sell to the box stores & they don't use harmful insecticides...I remember reading an article last year in the local paper.

My iris order from Winterberry came....I now have 8 rhizomes to plant....today is actually a good day to do it, since it's cloudy.....

I got my Perfume Counter from Winterberry yesterday! She must have been shipping all of them!

All the baby iris are planted.....hope they do well....I especially am waiting to see the tall miniatures that I ordered!

Right! I liked them in the photos I saw, so I'm sure I'll like them in the garden......

I hope you will share photos if they bloom next spring! Some of mine wait two seasons after planting before blooming. I even had a tall bearded that I can't remember dividing or anything and it didn't bloom this year.

You are correct, Lucy...did you buy dwarf varieties or tall?

I just ordered 19 different kinds of aquatic plants for my aquarium. I won't bore you with the names, since no one will probably know what I'm talking about anyway. lol The tank had started leaking in the middle of the night back in April and my husband had to re silicone it. In the meantime I had to put all the plants in a little 10 gallon. They were crammed and a lot of them didn't survive. What did is pretty pitiful looking. I planted them all but the tank looks lousy. I figure it is a good time to try some new stuff.
