Thank you, yes I am loving it. It is really muggy this week, so I have to go out early in the morning to drink my coffee while it is still bareable.

Neal, I am wanting to add more iris but I think I need to make a row/bed for iris alone. I like to mix plants but I think when I water the dls I am getting to much water on the iris. I have lost some iris leaves. Rot I am guessing Angry

This was a project started last year and finally finished. Just could not get grass to grow on this side of the house so made another shade garden. Pretty happy with the way it turned out.

My project is to continue harvesting seeds so I have a bunch to share in swap this September. I find it's less of s big deal if I save seeds and label them in bag as they set seed. For instance I have spring seeds packed already from columbine and marigolds. Need to separate and bag up the seeds from arugula plant that's been drying in bag in garage. And the salvia seed pods that are drying in jar in living room. Last year I did a pretty good job of keeping up but taking so many vacations this July it's hard to do all the work.

Bob,
That's really nice! I love the hydrangea? in the back to brighten it up. The hostas are really going to look good too when they get big and who doesn't love heuchera!
What is the shrub to the right?

Judy,
I run around trying to save seed before it all falls out of the pods, lol!

I made mostly an echinacea bed next to the old well house at the farm. It screamed make me beautiful again. My husband and I are working hard renovating one old building at a time...and of course adding perennials as a finishing touch. No raspberries yet though. Although other spots are bursting with them.

I SO envy your gorgeous lily bed! I can just smell them! LOVE your fire pit too. And your fence is really nice! I love the grey!

Lindsay,
LOVE your coneflower bed! Are the boulders your own?

I have envy! All I can do right now is try to keep up with the weeding, wah!

Hi Sally,
The boulders came with the farm👍. Fortunately there was a pile of them we didn't have to pick out of the fields😀

Everyone's projects are looking great! Lindsey the stone border is so nice. I am visiting my daughter in Salt Lake City and she has a boulder bed on one side of her property. She is wanting me to advise her what to plant but it is so arid here I think she needs to ask locally what does well. It is in a new subdivision.

Teresa,

For sunny spots with regular soil, rock cress, snow in the summer, and autumn joy sedum come to mind. Creeping phlox also looks stunning in the spring (see pic). The only caution with it is the darn grass that grows through it at times.

I just love creeping phlox but I do battle grass! I ripped up some this Spring and just replanted. I lost a lot but I did get rid of the grass. For now Angry

Lindsay,
I second the grass thru the phlox.

Theresa,
I did the same thing. It's finally all grown in except on one side.

2009 and 2013.
