Did anyone have any issues with Tropical Storm Colin? We got a good soaking rain at my house, and no damage, so it's all good. Plants are happy today Big Grin

I got 4 inches of rain & my driveway is littered with oak leaves. Colin did leave behind oppressive humidity..."air you can wear". Ill be staying in the a/c today for sure! Hilarious!

Zero wind, in fact yesterday was the first day with no wind that we've had in a solid month. Hilarious! All totaled 1.25" of rain.
What Tropical Storm? Hilarious!
Glad it missed us anyway & turned out to be a tempest in a tea cup.

Same here, not much but two bamboo culms broken, and a few twigs and small branches down, although I haven't walked around the house completely yet.

Once it blows by all the way, it should take some of the humidity with it, thankfully. Then we can break out the rakes and clean up. Still a fat rain band to pass but the wind is much less now.

Frankly I wouldn't have minded a bit if we had gotten another inch of rain or more. We've gotten pretty dry here & no rain in the forecast for at least a week & that's only 20% chance.

Be careful what you wish for, Ann. There's still juicy rain bands following this storm although it looks like it's all down here now. I'm ready for a little sun!

We had 4" from Colin as the northern most bands passed over us, it rained for 14 hours straight. Sunny now with 87% humidity.

Patty, love that "air you can wear". Hilarious!

My rain gauge said 7"... It was a very strong blowing rain. A tornado touched down about 5 miles from us, and a neighbor on the street over has a tree on her house.
All in all, I guess we were pretty lucky. No loss of life, or injuries reported. Phew! And that was just a tropical storm! Just imagine a, nope, not gonna say it! Crossing Fingers! (insert "H" word here) Whistling

Let's hope, for the Atlantic folks and the Gulf folks, that all the bad weather early is using up the energy that will be necessary for the "H" season later in the year.

Green Grin! I tip my hat to you. Not my original line either, Alice. Heard it somewhere.

Tara, glad you have no damage. We had much less rain and wind than expected. It was off and on, and not bad yesterday although it got loud and rainy during the night last night here and we had another heavy downpour in the last hour. A peek of sun now, but there are still more rain bands out in the Gulf coming this way. Much more to the south of us as well.

Colin was way off in the somewhere else, but it seems the summer rain showers are here now. Nice in the morning and afternoon, and t=storms hit about this time of day.

For a painter with several exterior paint jobs in the near future, one started today, we have to get up early, paint and hope it dries before the rains hit.

And yet the gardens love the rain water. So do the weeds!

Haven't had a day off in 2 weeks. Tomorrow, though, I am home. May get to the weeds....may not.

I came home today and there were pairs of bird flitting everywhere. Thought I should geta drink and sit on the deck to watch. They chose that time to go elsewhere. Seems my story, a day late..........But tomorrow, no work. It's all good.

Enjoy your day off Molly!

Maybe you just needed a little patience with your drink and the birds would've come back....I find that the longer I sit on the porch, the more birds show up!

Horrible, really really horrible. Highly unpleasant. Add to that the bitting bugs, cant even open the door to let the dogs in without ankle bitting. Dont like it. Heaven forbid you try to work in the yard, they are out even in the heat of the day.
