No drainage hole on the bottom. It is a gift that a coffee drinker and plant lover would love. Multiple plants about six or so to be transplanted into a different container with drainage to continue growing. The ceramic mug and spoon is to use for your drink.... The price difference between HD and Amazon is big! If you ever peek at Amazon items, the Cup of coffee/coffee plant was $9.99 with $7.59 shipping, is not what I would contemplate buying. It does show a photo of the mug with spoon with the coffee bean plants inside if my description is not too clear (sorry). Home Depot had the best price. As you can see, I tried to compare the best purchase price available.

Coffee trees make bad houseplants IMHO. They grow very large are often potted wrong you have to seperate the plants or the strongest will overtake its weaker sliblings they need high humidity

Jennifer I love your Calatheas. I wish I lived in your town. I do not see many in my area. Although I seem to kill them because I do not give them enough humidity in the winter. I can usually keep them alive a couple of years.

About that drainage hole......No drainage hole is the only way I have been able to keep them alive for a couple of years because I do not like to water plants indoors and they really hate you if you do not keep them moist.

That sounds like a plan. I am going to give it a try with my prayer plant. I have been able to keep it on life support this winter but it is not as pretty as it was this summer when we had rain almost every day last year. I thought the plants were going to drown but the prayer plant was crazy happy. It covered the pot.

I "accidentally" got these last weekend, an orchid, pink flower Kalanchoe blossfeldiana, Crassula arborescens, and Tradescantia 'Bunny Bellies.' No regrets! LOL!
