Larry this was the first season that I did cleanup during the fall and winter. I left my bananas the way they were, hoping I would have some growth out of the old stem in the spring. These cold cold nights though... Also just a few gingers to cut back and I'm debating the old daylily foliage.
As always I have enjoyed your blogs. Smiling

I find it so much better to get bored being inside, then have a beautiful day when I feel I just have to get out and do something in the garden, and cleaning out a bed of dead growth seems more a blessing than a chore. Then when spring rolls around, everything is ready to go and I don't have a huge dreaded chore of cleaning out all the beds in a mad rush. Amazing how spreading out a chore can make it seems like a gardening pleasure.
