Another pair of NOIDS for the DL super sleuths

This one really is a drab gray-lavender with the dark eye/band. I know I lost the tag last year. Tall, flower size around 5.5
Thumb of 2016-07-27/ShakespearesGarden/a84819

Small flowering (about 3.5 in)- Scapes around 15 in.

Both are done blooming this year...
Thank You! Thank You!

Wow, that's a great lead, Sharon Rose! Looks like a perfect match:)

I'm afraid I have no guesses for either, but I like them both. Even though the coloring is a drab gray on the first pic, it has a very nice eye and edge.

Ok everyone, I finally have to confess, when I first found the daylily forum, and specifically the pictures of your NOID's, I couldn't figure out why all of these pictures had the same name, NOID, and then after looking much closer and thinking about it awhile D'Oh! I realized it mean No ID. And to think I have been growing daylilies for years!!! Just thought you would appreciate a little humor in my D'Oh! moment!!! @Legalily my head-smacker was I kept getting stuck on both an-noyed and the old Domino's Pizza character thingy from the 80's- the NOID... It did take a bit to get NO I.D.

@Altheabyanothername It was an excellent lead. Alas, it remains a NOID. I did do a bit of sleuthing this afternoon and think it's a match for "Strawberry Candy."
@blue23rose It's prettier in the morning- tiny bit more "pink". I bought it for its purple eye- but not fond of the base color this year. Ah well... I researched that dl today too and think I might have a match in "Edge Ahead."

Can anyone second?

Thank You! for your help!

Seedfork, consider Princeton Point Lace for your second yellow.

mantisOH,
I think you were right with Highland Lord. This year I saw Highland Lord in my friends garden and after seeing it in "real time" I'm sure it is Highland Lord. Good eye. Hurray!

Here I go again (on my own...now I have that Whitesnake song going through my head) tacking on to an old thread from ages past. Let me know if I shouldn't do that.

This is/was my favorite NOID of all time. I suppose it could be a bee-pod seedling, but I doubt I could have gotten that lucky.

I know they look like different plants. From what I remember, the petals and sepals recurved so the lighter parts of the bloom were hidden. It's not fading...the trio pic we taken hours before the single...on different days.

I haven't seen it since 2015. Unless it's one of my many clumps/fans that never ever bloom, it's a thing of the past.

I just read this and laughed so hard. That's exactly what I thought.

It bothers me a bit that it's not NoID, but if "identification" (one word) can be represented by 2 capital letters, then I guess "no" can, too!

Heidi, that one looks like Raspberry Pixie. The stats say 12" tall, but mine is much taller. Others comment that theirs are taller, as well.

Heidi, I won't be much help, but over the years, I received one like that called Raspberry Pixie. Mine is taller than stats also. A few years later someone sent me a plant, when it bloomed it was the incorrect plant, but she identified it as Raspberry Pixie. Same size, a little shorter than my 1st Raspberry Pixie. I have had people verify both as being Raspberry Pixie. I got rid of the 2nd one, but kept the 1st, I like the dusky color.

I concur on all the Raspberry Pixie votes!

Now...what of these two? Let's call them "peachy-pink with yellow picotee" (1) and "salmon with raspberry eye" (3). Hahaha! Any thoughts?

The second displayed what are evidently called "mouse ears," although the ADS definition ends in a question mark that seems to indicate they're not sure this is a shortcoming. I actually kind of like it.

bxncbx said:@mantisOH I bought quite a few of my NOID daylilies at a daylily farm in NC that is no longer in business. That's why I'll never ID them. They also bred and registered daylilies so it's possible some are seedlings they never got around to registering. I don't mind though. As long as I like them I'll keep them!

Hi,

Which NC daylily farm did you used to buy from? Maybe I can find something local-ish.
