My bloom season started earlier than ever, with big fat buds that were damaged by a frost. I have clumps with nothing but desiccated, paper thin spathes and no action. However, I do have some blooms to share.
Fanfaron, always a delight with its vibrant contrasting colors.

A delicate lady of orchid lace.

Such a gentlemanly blend of colors

My all time favorite black, well, my only black.

I love the light shining through this blue iris.

I love the blends in this one. Such depth.

Colortart looks like a raspberry pie!

Batik, my first broken color which my hubby says he loves the most.

Now if the cold wind would stop blowing so the air would warm up for the rest of my garden, I might have some more pics next week. These have taken forever to actually open. . . open

Ferragosto - it has a pinkish cast to it's standards in certain light. I had a bear of a time catching it right on camera. My pictures do NOT do justice to how gorgeous this iris really was!

I fully agree. This iris was amazing in bloom. Soooooooo much better than the pictures.

I got it from Filardi at International Iris. I have to say that he sent me some fantastic iris. I have some of his yet to post that also blew me away.

This year I had a lot of Exactitude. Last year I thought I had the labels switched on two iris because Exactitude bloomed in the wrong spot. So I moved the labels around. Well this year it bloomed in both spots! So there is an iris I thought I had that is really more Exactitude. At least they are right next to each other! And if anyone needs some, I have enough to send one or two of you.

Peggy Anne - I really love this broken color iris. It is a good bloomer and is a rich deep purple. Grows very tall here.
