Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Plumerias grow all over the island. I know because I have visited there lots of times. But if you want to see a concentration of different kinds, say at a botanical garden, then @RCanada could help you. Rick is very familiar with Maui as he goes there often.

Oh how I love Maui. There is a Botanical Garden on the Hana Hwy (Haiku) about half way to Hana, called "The Garden of Eden". Well worth the time and such a large number of different plants and trees to see.

Lahaina is a marvelous Town and a must see. We usually stay in Kihei. Is about 3/4 - 1 Hr. drive from Kihei. Spectacular town.

The Maui Swap Meet on the College grounds in Kahalui close to main Airport is so special. Close to 150 vendors with produce, fruit, art, crafts, plants, etc. I believe it starts at 7:00a.m. - 12:00 or 1:00p.m. on Saturdays. We have got some wonderful art and always our place to get fresh fruit and veggies. Wonderful homemade jams and jellies from fruit on Island.

There is a beautiful Cactus & Succulent Nursery on your way to Haleakalā and it was closed when we got there. Looked unbelievable and I almost was tempted to try and get in. So disappointed.

Now I want to go so badly. Thanks a bunch, Kadie Smiling Sighing!

Thanks for the info Rick. The wife and I have been to Oahu 4 times in the last 5 years. I myself have been there 8 times in my lifetime. I told her next time we go to Hawaii were going to Maui. She likes the night life in Waikiki along with all the hikes to the waterfalls, look out points plus the fact we get great hotel deals at Hickam AFB, Bellows AB and the Hale Koa Hotel on the beach. But I think she'll enjoy the more relaxing side of Maui. Plus we have a time share on the island of Kauai in Poipu.
