It is a pretty good choice if one is looking for a hardy one, an old tried and true cultivar. I have had it for 9 years now so it is a good one for those living at the edge of microphylla hardiness. It is rather spreading and not particularly tall for a microphylla.

I don't know, it is one to try in 6b. It is probably cold hardy in zone 6b as long as the garden is really well drained.
