I'm glad you're feeling a bit better, Char.

They are calling for a high of 76F. That means it will be pushing 80F at my place. It is cloudy right now. Right now they are calling for 106F on Monday. That means it will be at least 109F at my place. Thumbs down

I usually do not comment.

Today was cool and overcast and I planted lots of daylilies that I potted last year. I hope to do the same tomorrow and Thursday since I have over 800 pots to go, and countless seedlings.

Oh, brother, Profesora! I don't have that many, but plenty many! And nowhere to put them at the moment! Sighing!

Nice out today, sunny, temp in the 70's and still breezy. Didn't do much except walk around a little and look at a few things, spent the afternoon in the chair napping Rolling my eyes. Seems like that's all I've done for the last few days. Hope to be outside more tomorrow, really looking forward to this nice stretch of weather they are talking about.

That is a lot of pots Gerry! Good luck with the planting.
So sorry the stormy weather continues for you Sabrina. Aweful that it's happening during bloom time.
Thanks Kelli and Linda, I had heard Lyme can be pretty bad...it is. The chills, fever & joint pain has been annoying but bearable...similar to having the flu without the congestion and snotty nose. The no energy and almost constant headache is what I'm having a problem accepting. Grumbling

It was hot early today, but we should be getting rain during the night. Thundering now.
Char glad you are on the mend. My son in-law got Rocky Mountain Spotted fever from a tick. He was in the hospital for about a week.

You're on meds for the Lyme disease right Char?

Char, what's lyme disease? What are ticks? I hope it's going better now.

Here it's the same old song and dance. Too cold during the day (we barely have 70F) and by evening a storm comes, it rains and thunders all the night long. Mornings are too cold. No signs of weather improvements in a short time. Grumbling

Thank you for the get well wishes. With both of us working outside, me in the garden, my husband for the town, we've always been very careful watching for ticks and know the signs of Lyme to watch for. I don't like creepy crawly bugs in general, so it was a bit of a surprise when I found the tick attached to me...ewww. Yes, I'm on doxy a whole 21 days worth.
Sabrina, here is a link to the CDC page on Lyme and the ticks that cause it. The ticks that carry Lyme are tiny and can be very hard to find when they get on you.

52f out this morning, the sky is clear and it looks like it is going to be a nice day. Hope to get out and map the newly planted seedlings today. Thumbs up

They are calling for a high of 76F. That means it will be more like 79F at my place. Now they are calling for a high of 107F on Monday. That means it could reach 110F at my place. If this valley was its own city (and it has over a million people), it would surely be one of the top 5 hottest major cities in the U.S., right behind Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, and El Paso.

800! I hope you had a tractor to prepare the area you are planting. Wow I can not imagine planting that many dls at one time.
It will look stunning when they bloom!

It is so hot and rainy, I am ready for a break.

No tractor, and the land is muck. RoundUp has done its job and the ground is ready for digging with a shovel.

Since this set of daylilies is for a school project, these plants will be planted nearby, not in my personal beds. I have recruited a group of high school students to do this job while I teach them what to do.

Ten students working for three hours a day, two days this week after a nice rain each day, 400 plants are already in the ground.

Gerry , wish I lived where you live . Rain every day? Oh how I wish!

Just made it in from doing the animals in time . This morning we are finally blessed with some rain. It is raining as I write and if we are lucky it will rain ALL day. Of course the weather guesserators were only off by about 7.5 hours in their predictions of a thunderstorm around midnight last night , but that is a much better record than they have held all spring.

We haven't seen any rain worth speaking of since beginning of April . The odd sprinkle here and there but today it is an official down pour . I hope the cement like ground can soak it all up and that it doesn't just run off . This is sooooooo going to help the ever increasing daylily scapes that are shooting up all over thinking it is mid July which is the normal time for us for the daylilies to strut their stuff. I am seriously doing a happy dance as I would have been so disappointed if the daylily season was as disappointing as the rest of this spring was here . Blooms only lasting mere days on iris , allium , spring bulbs, etc .

It's raining , it's pouring , the old man is snoring , he bumped his head on the edge of the bed and couldnt get up till the morning !!!!!!! Hurray! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

We went without rain for several weeks, and this week we had three days of nice rain.

Last week was dry and very hot with temperatures in the highs 80's and low 90's. I watered my plants from 8 AM to very late evening. I have a very large area of hostas, which I keep it moist.

My last daylily is blooming today.

They are calling for a high of 79F, which means it will be more like 82F at my place. This is the last relatively mild day of the foreseeable future.
