LOL, Porkpal. I think I'm jealous too. Those are some pretty wildflowers. We don't get so many exotics up this way.

I really like the Antelope horns Asclepias, I see it growing in nearby fields but not mine.

With all the rain, blackberries are coming on strong this year. (picture from last year).

I think Sally nailed it with the Mockorange Jay. Now you just have to figure out which one. I knew that looked familiar!!! I had recently been looking at P lewisii as a friend in Idaho just got some.

Christine, our blackberries are going gonzo this year too. The critters are going to be very happy!

Well I can't call the one I posted mine, because I had to drive an hour and two counties over to see them. You would be surprised to see what actually grows in your area though. When I first started I would just drive around and if I saw a splash of color on the side of the road I would pull over and look. After photographing that I would continue to walk the area and often found flowers that were hidden from the road. I also go to protected nature areas to find a lot, like most of those above.

Over on the plant id forum they seem to think it is Mock Orange also. There a no plants of that genus recorded growing wild anywhere near that county, but that doesn't mean it could not be an escapee from someone garden.
