apparently the man's dog survived, but his bird died - not sure what kind of bird. He is very attached to his dog.

Too bad he lost his bird but at least the dog survived and the dog was probably very special to him.

Yes, he was very close to the dog - he was his life - it was just the two of them otherwise.

No idea, Ken - don't know if he has family in the city, or if he's still in the hospital, nor what condition he's in. He started out in serious but stable condition, but I haven't heard anything else since. My prayers are with Gordon (maybe I'll hear more from our current neighbours - they know him better)

It is sad to think the guy only has his dog and no family to help care for him. I hope there is family around or perhaps neighbors that can lend a hand.

I'm Sure that his neighbours will be helping him, as well as the senior community. He's in his 60's but don't know if that's him as a senior over 65. That makes a lot of difference. Don't know if he was insured either. Some older mobiles aren't insurable, and a lot of mobile owners cannot afford the insurance.
Oh gosh, my prayers are there for Gordie.....

Really sad for my brother and niece, she lost her baby at her six month mark...it's been a pretty sad situation with some really bad news a few weeks ago for the baby's development. Just so sad for them, they were so happy
