I just found out that someone who lived 10 homes from us in the mobile park, before we moved, had a fire on Wed night. He's in serious but stable condition in the hospital. I didn't personally know him, but I suspect his dog didn't survive, because they don't mention her in the newspaper report..... They mention that he just barely got out himself.

I don't recognize his name, but I'm sure I chatted with him when he walked his dog because I was often out gardening in the front yard during the day.

I did know him - somehow his name got reported incorrectly. No one has said anything about his dog, and now we live so far away, I can't check.... omg - how horrible for him - to be in hospital and lose his dog and his home with everything in it. He certainly wasn't rich (lived in a tiny mobile), so I imagine it was everything he owned, except for his car.
Well, at least he has his life......
