Debra.... Ooooh I like those names!!!

Welcome Home isn't a stretch. My DAR group has been quite involved in celebrating and welcoming home our Vietnam Vets, (albeit, almost 50 years later for most) and so that one would be very appropriate for my United We Stand theme!

I have a few for Family - "Little Lila" for my Mom, Lila; "May, May" my mother's and my middle name (though spelled Mae) and some for my dogs "Ebony and Ivory" for my former Mini. Schnauzer, Ebony, "Little Stinker" for my dog, Tinker (alias Stinker!). I'm looking for "Maggie May" for my former Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Rylie (good luck to me!) for the Cav. I have now. Fun to look! Crossing Fingers! Any suggestions would be great!

Now I have a grandniece named after my Mom, Lila Fae! So excited! Can't wait to see her but she lives in California!

Daylilies & hardy hibiscus
Legalily said: Unfortunately when we moved the raccoons got into all of the pots and I lost a lot of markers. Most of the daylilies were not marked and I am missing a lot of names. If anyone can identify them I would appreciate it.

Hi,

I know you posted this almost 4 years ago, but I was curious if you ever posted a thread asking for help IDing your daylilies after the raccoon fiasco.

I live in constant fear of that happening. As you can see, everything is tagged. I try to keep track of what's where with photos, as well. I need to get out there with a grease pencil and rewrite over the faded Sharpie writing on about half my tags.

P.S. I have several with no ID. Some are plants that I've somehow ended up with but have no record of. Some I got from the yard of my childhood home before we sold it. Some I got at daylily farms where plants were out of bounds with no markers where they were supposed to be...or even IN bounds with no markers.

I'm gonna start a thread about how best to describe one of them. It's gorgeous, buy right now it's just a tiny baby starting its growth for the season. I don't have any measurements, which I know are key for IDing.
Hardy hibiscus are a hobby, but daylilies are an obsession.

Raccoons are not an issue, here, but the squirrels! The dang-it squirrels, now, they are a different story.
Glare Hilarious!

Ken I'm also a member on Facebook's Daylily Pictures and I had several IDs confirmed that way, along with a couple here. Some I'll never know because I didn't have a name in the first place. Most of the ones I confirmed I knew I had purchased, just couldn't remember what they went with. I also had them all mapped out at my old house before I moved and I could go back and look on the plan and match them that way (if I could find them in the new owners' weeds! Angry )
