AHS Dictionary: Branching

It's a pretty thorough and clear explanation. It states that terminal V's are to be counted as 2 branches.
Excerpt: "A terminal V is counted as 2 branches and a terminal W is counted as 3 branches. A scape that does not divide into a V or a W at its terminus is counted as 1 branch."

This is a rather concise explanation of how to count branches when registering a daylily with AHS; however, it specifically states that terminal V's are to be counted as 1 branch only.
Excerpt: "For purposes of this calculation the terminal āVā should NOT be counted as 2 separate branches."
