That is a lovely color! Is your camera able to capture the true color? I find that some digitals have a problem with blues and purples.

It does ok in light that is not heat of the day light. Sometimes the sensor does a lousy capture of red. I am using a Samsung cellphone camera. I love it. Image stabilization and over 20 megapixel images.
There is less purple in the flowers of one of the Convolvulus tricolor plants, and the size is smaller, too, than is seen in the other plant that is currently blooming.
