The banner is cool, as is usual for Paul. But was the selection made and scheduled earlier? Considering some of the postings among the forums today about the current site changes and we have for a banner...........crabapples? Rolling on the floor laughing Sorry, I probably shouldn't actually post this....but...

@DAVE I'm wondering if all of the banners will now have half the space taken by the logo and text?

Anyone else notice the 'splice' in the banner photo? It doesn't show in Paul's photo. I haven't seen that before in a banner.

Thanks, Dave! I did see the splice. No idea what happened. I love the banners and check them out every day. It adds a lot of fun to the group, and it was very exciting to see my own photo used.

@needrain looks like it's in the original banner, you can see it if you enlarge it in the first post of today's banner thread. I didn't catch it when I set it.

@Calif_Sue that's really strange. That's the photo I was referring to when I said it didn't show in Paul's photo. I just looked again at the first post and there is no splice showing when I enlarge it. I don't know how to embed what I'm seeing and I'm not sure it will work here, but maybe it will do the same for you as for me if you can enlarge it out of the quote box (it works from the preview).

Donald, are talking about today's dill banner? That's what I meant when I said "first post of today's banner thread" so I meant the thread for the dil banner. So the dill banner originally has the split in it for some reason. Nothing is wrong with Paul's banner. Thumbs up

No, I was talking about Paul's banner. It was spliced at prox the same place as today's banner, but without the black bar. There was nothing wrong the banner showing in the thread, only what appeared in the banner containing the logo. @plantmanager Karen said she could see it too. I see a black bar at the end of the dill photo and that's where the splice seems to begin on the banner with the first part of the photo added after the bar. I think there must be a bug when they are moved to being shown as the actual banner. This is the second banner and the break is basically in the same location on them.

I agree I'm seeing the black bar in the same area where it looked like a splice in Paul's photo. The original photos are fine.

Very odd. I checked the banner queue and I don't see anything in Paul's banner but I do see the black bar on the dill banner in the queue, in the banner itself and the banner photo in the post. Shrug!

I'm wondering if the width requirements changed with the merge of ATP and NGA. That's when the splice started showing up. The width requirement may be greater since the merge and the program is picking up the first part of the banner photo to meet the new requirement. Might have to do with swapping the ATP logo for the new (and larger) NGA logo.

I have also seen the "splice" at the end of the dill banner, also this one. I believe I saw one in one of the previous ones, too.
