Love the blue blooms Carol HB! I love blue blooms...too bad, my window to grow those types of flowers is way too short here, we easily go too warm I guess.

Love the combo of the white verbena and lobelia. I need to toss some lobelia seed in the front bed. Probably won't last long once things start heating up, but it reseeds happily.

That lobelia has lasted through the summer, fall, winter - blooming once in a while, whenever, and reseeding itself freely, especially in any pot containing the white verbena. Tarev, how warm do you get? We were up in the 90s for way too long last summer, and that's right at the coast (2 miles). I guess inland gets even warmer.

Sherry, I think the bloom color of the buddleja is the same as your 'Dark Knight' but the leaves are variegated on mine. But I don't know if that makes a diff.

Hi, Dick! We never hear from you! I don't know if the Garden Club keeps adding new stuff or it's just something different in flower each time I'm there, something I didn't notice before.....

Don't be a stranger...are you well?

CarolHB, we can get up to 107F to 110F here. But it seems different this year, have not seen any forecast of the triple digits yet..fingers crossed!

Ooops..just saw now we have a forecast on tuesday, 31 May..one says 98F and the other says 100F., but just fot that one day, and then it goes down to the low 90's afterwards..oh well..will take any form of cool down as it comes then.

110*???? I reserve the right to complain about the beach heat, but you get to do it louder.

Yes, I can complain loud when that heat comes in, but having experienced the humid heat extreme in Manila last April, I will endure our dry heat now much better. That April experience was really too much to bear! Rolling my eyes.

I walked over closer to see if, by any chance, that rehmania had any seeds...and...

What's This?

In all that pink-ness, I'd missed seeing the phygelius starting up for the season.....as I recall, this one is Passionate Pink...

Last day of May and I just noticed yesterday that my licorice plant appears to have blooms on it. Didn't know they could do that. Wish I could remember to take the tags off the solar lamps.

What if it reseeds itself? YIKES. I just have to pick the moment to deadhead, I guess. It looks so much bigger in the pic than in person I can just imagine having that stuff all over the place. I would just have to move and let someone else deal with it.
