Aww thanks! I hear you on the favorite pic. It seems each time I have a favorite, we snap another pic that becomes my new favorite. In case anyone wondered, that is a solidago seed head she's holding in pic 2.

She's so expressive and obviously brilliant. The box picture really seems to say 'I can't BELIEVE you guys, you know you cannot box a baby!!!'
Plant it and they will come.

Sure made my day! Bright eyed wonder and smiles galore.
All that brown paper reminds me that having lots of 'things' to unwrap keeps a child so entertained at Christmas. And after 'gifts' are unwrapped that huge pile of wrapping paper is perfect for crawling through!
Much joy to you and yours as you create your family traditions and memories!

I cannot add anything that has already be said! She is so pretty! Her face so expressive!
Babies are adorable--especially when they start to react to parents and surroundings

“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

From time to time, some other item finds its way into a box with Maddie's name on it... a little scooter, a favorite toy, a flowered outfit... I figure you can pick through the box the next time we get together, with no obligation to take any/everything, just what appeals to the 3 of you. I did want to ask if you have a place to hang a baby/toddler swing (from a tree, or under the edge of the deck)? It's a sturdy plastic fisher price thing, easy in/out, and Joyanna loved it. I got it at the Tot Swap. Smiling

On that same note as Jill wrote about--could I bring some of the very nicest
of the little dresses, tops/bottoms etc... that I mentioned to you, Jeff, long time ago?
These itema would be my hand-me-downs from my Girls. All clean and washed.
Some of the larger sizes (dresses, outfits etc.) can be put away for later wearing.
Of course--you would NOT have to accept anything you do not want or like.
In that case--these can be passed on or donated to some other pretty, young girls.

What size is Addie in now? Gita

Whoops, sorry about adding her middle initial to her first name! Addie, not Maddie, sheesh, swiss cheese for brains some days.

I agree, it makes sense to sort through and take the things you want for Addie, rather than schlep everything back to PA... but if time gets tight, you're also welcome to stuff it in the car and just pass along or donate anything from me that you can't use.

I'm guessing she may be in 12 mos. size now and 18 mos by spring... I know that's more than her actual age, but babies seem to be bigger these days or something... Joyanna for sure was always in the next size up from her age. (She still is, actually -- she's 7 and wearing size 8/9, going into size 10 with some new things she's getting at Christmas!)

Jill/Gita, I'd be happy to pick through things you've set aside for Addie. She is running small for her age. She's in that transition zone where some 3-6mo fits and some 6-9mo fits. She weighs about 16lbs now. Anyone have a date for the seed swap yet?

*fingers crossed*

the "rain date" would be the second Saturday... can't do it sooner, as the last Saturday in Jan. is Chinese New Year, and they are already overbooked!

I'm SO excited for the three of you... First Christmas is very very special! Hope everybody is healthy so you can enjoy it properly.
