This tech challenged woman has a question about Terra Nova's website.
Like so many places and things, their website displays a QR code on each plant page. IF I had a smart phone, and IF I were to take a photo of that QR code with my smart phone, exactly what would that do for me? What information would I gain?
Since I'm talking about plants, I'm really not off topic this time.
Sorry no idea, I do not even have a regular cell phone. I thought they were more advanced , faster reading UPC codes. I guess we need to find someone with a smartphone to get the answer.
I know those QR codes can be used to load some apps on a smart phone, I think just by taking a picture of the code with the smart phone. But I couldn't imagine what the ones on Terra Nova might do.
To say I'm tech challenged is a real understatement.
The Smartphone code on plants will download/show information about that plant including bloom time, water requirements, etc. Like instant Google...or ATP Plant Database.

Okay. Now I just had to go looking around Tera Nova's site. Saw Helleborus Winter Jewels™ Red Sapphire and can't seem to find one to buy. Does anyone know of a supplier for this plant? Am I missing something obvious here??
But, There's a nice nursery near my house that carries some Terra Nova selections, and it's not listed so... probably better to call your garden center and ask.
Never hurts to ask local nurseries. Worst they can do is say no, but best is, even if they don't have or won't get what you want, they may well be able to direct you to someone who does/can. And if you don't ask, the answer is always no, no?

Chelle, last year someone recommended asking after after a specific hybridizer/growers plants early in the season so the Garden Center could look into it early. I thought that was good advice.

I'm sure there has to be someone around here who sells hellebore, but I haven't seen any. Another thing is, I'm really only interested in that one plant (at least for now) - there's not much bargaining power there, ya know?

This website has winter jewels Some of the retail nurseries are online, like 'Plants Delight' nurseries. Just thought I would say.
