Hi Becky,
I've been around awhile, first on DG, then a member of Cubits right after Dave created it, where I met Linda, who had also been a member of DG, we have been very good e-mail friends since then. I am mostly on the daylily forums.

Hi Margaret,
I've seen you at Lyle's Daylilies in the Desert cubit. I live about 15 minutes from Lyle and have more that several of his hybrids. His garden is absolutely beautiful in May/June. He puts an awful lot of work into his passion. He and Rudy both!!!
Becky and Susie, Margaret and I have become good friends as a result of Cubits. I now have a large number of her daylilies growing here from seed she sent me last year. She has a beautiful garden and the greenest lawn I have ever seen ! We visit daily . I am talking more then usual, it must be the fresh site as Becky said !

Thank you Linda for your nice compliment on my lawn .
Linda and I have a competition going to see who can get the first daylily seedling to bloom, of course she has an unfair advantage with the long growing season in Tucson.

But Linda, as long as you have a hose you have water to keep those babies growing. I have to contend with the cold and the snow. I have only been growing daylilies for 2 years and you have some of my first hybridizing efforts, so we are learning together.

Susie be patient with those seeds. Seedsower (Sandy) on DG generously gave quite a few members free daylily seeds and I was one of the lucky ones. I started them April 5th. most sprouted withing 3 weeks, but there were a few stubborn ones, I had one germinate after 77 days and another one from the same cross germinate after 79 day, both are doing great.

Ah! I can see patience is indeed needed! Because of our heat (it will most likely be 100-110 from now to late August... I plan to keep the neo-natal care unit inside. Need to talk to fellow desert DL gardener, Lyle, about how to proceed.

I see you're still up too... LOL... I'm waiting for the laundry to finish so I can switch it before bed
