I have enjoyed having 'Carolyn Criswell' in my collection for a couple years now. I received it as a single fan and it has multiplied to three fans within the two or three years. A bit slow I would guess, but it has been shifted around a bit, being moved a couple times and being potted up for a move to new home last fall. I think it will perform more reliably when its in a final bedding area.

It is a creamy yellow with a tiny green throat. Its face is as listed measuring in at about 4" to 4.5" on a short scape that holds the flower upright and just above the foliage. Last year, in my area it showed more of a semi-evergreen as the foliage never faded completely away. I think little Carolyn is a keeper and I hope it sticks around in the front of my CVs for some time...

Carolyn Criswell is one of my favourite yellow daylilies. I have had it for many years now, and it always puts on a good show of bloom. It is in a semi-shaded location and it still blooms very well. It blooms for a very long period of time in my garden being one of my earliest daylilies blooming and one of my last to finish. It is a true dormant in my northern garden and with the extended cold spring this year, the foliage was quite late appearing. The foliage always looks good, and it is a daylily that I will always have in my garden. The colour is a soft yellow, and it blends well with other colours.

This was a gift plant with an order way back, it is a cheerful reliable bloomer here in zone 4 and has earned it's place in the garden.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!
Faith is the postage stamp on our prayers!
