Raspberry Swirl opened later this morning, and it got a bit cloudy so I took some pictures.

Harvest Of Memories opened a couple of blooms. Here it is next to the Purple Seedling among some other things.

Wow, Arlyn, hope you get a solution for your problems, after all that effort (and $).

Love to see your beautiful irises here, folks, as I do plant iris in my daughter's garden in Utah even though they won't grow here in Florida for me.

Arlyn, I do hope the university folks nail down your rot problem for you. I recently tried a new fungicide on the market on my orchids. It's called Actinovate and the UF people here have tested it widely and find it very effective. We have every fungus known to man down here. It's also rated for use on organic produce including fruits so I've tried it on my fig tree that is always beset with rust on the leaves. We'll see how it goes but so far the orchids seem to be free of black rot (both pythium and phytopthora) even though we've had a warm, wet May.

Tom does Harvest of Memories grow like a weed on speed for you like it does here? It is constantly outgrowing its allotted space even though I thin it every year. Re-blooms regularly too!

Yes, Harvest of Memories is a rapid grower. I thought I had parted ways with it, but a tiny one survived, and shortly became a large clump. Once in a while it actually makes a fall bloom that doesn't get frozen off, but mostly they get frozen in the fall.

Love this time of year, waiting for it to get light enough to go out and see if there are any new ones open.

I'm with you on that one Tom. We get up at 0200, love the quiet of the hour. I usually head on out to the deck at about 0530 and listen to the birds. There is one that has such an exuberant song, like "I'm alive, I'm alive". It only sings till the sun has been up about an hour. It starts about 30 minutes before the sun even breaks the dark.

Enjoy the day & Blessings to you

I had Make Mine Magic for 3 years. I nursed it through rot every spring getting down to just one fan, and though I'd loose it, but it came back and finally bloomed on ashort stem. I sure do love it. This is one you have to enlarge to really see it.

Fancy Dress opened last night just before the sun set. This one is such a nice luminata, good grower and always takes my breath away when I see it in the spring.
