Whispering Spirit opened yesterday and surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to bloom as I re-planted it really late last year after it sat and dried out for a month.

Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

Oh how I love Whispering Spirit!! I'm glad that yours bloomed for you, Tom. The one that you sent me in 2013 was moved to Iris Lane last fall, and didn't bloom this year. I think it's still surviving out there. Sometimes I'm afraid to look...........

Italian Master decided to finally bloom this year. What a nice one.

I had some that opened at a size more like an MTB this year. Multnomah Falls was one of them. At least I got to see the colors. Not sure what's up with that. I guess they bloomed on immature rhizomes.

I had a couple do that as well. Rarer than Rubies was a small rhizome, and the stalk only grew about 24 inches high before it produces a beautiful miniature version of the bloom. I wondered why it did that.

The picture was taken a few days ago. Things have gone down hill since then a quite a bit. Only a few left with blooms.

You'll have to order some really really late bloomers and then keep them iced for a month and see if you can have very late ones!
