I am down to just a few blooms left. Don't Stop Believing has one more bud to open, Eagles Flight has one opened late, and Princess Beatrice opened one last bloom. But, my lilies are starting to open near the house, and one Daylily bloomed today.

Glad they are growing for you. They usually bloom the first year. I lost one of the new ones I got the year before last. Bloomed once then died this winter. I have had some recover after thinking they were dead, but I'm not holding my breath.

Welcome! Daphne, I'm sure beginning to miss them already, and it's along wait until next spring when they bloom, unless I get one or two to re-bloom this fall. Smiling

Great pics Tom. I have a few other garden blooms posts to stalk still. Gonna be a cold winter so I'm pacing myself on these threads.

Really loved the home garden rows of blooms in one of the post. You guys are always inspiring to try something. It gives a visual persuasion tool to show my lady here of the potential our yard could almost have. Great stuff Thumbs up
Gimme it and I'll grow it!

Probably they were confused by the number of irises. Don't use up your space, the ISM sale in next July.

My iris have taken a beating this year, with the early onset of extreme heat and the flooding when the monsoons finally hit...they look like a disaster. They just look the worst I have ever seen, I am keeping my fingers crossed they will perk up when the weather cools a bit. I usually start getting bloom in early February and am looking forward to checking them out.

Carla - It has been a very hard year for irises in the south. Hope yours survive the rest of summer without problems. Crossing Fingers!

Carla I have some friends in the Phoenix area that I sent iris to a few years ago. They lost a few this year due to extreme heat too, so I'll be replacing a bunch for them. Later though when it gets cooler.

Sorry to hear it Carla. Seems like no matter where you live, this year has been brutal for Irises. Hope yours do better than you expect.
