Yes that is a keeper, this was the second year it's bloomed and even on a hot day that one will look like that at 9:00 tonight.

Another, this is an F1 cross of a species. Very vigorous, nice color I will use it in breeding.

It is hard to believe these plants grew from the tiny dormant/dead looking plants that came in the mail last May. What amazing plants these are.

The aggregatus and iwarenge are quite interesting when they go into dormancy. All the stems disappear and all that is left is nothing. Well, at least that's what it looks like. I though I lost both plants over winter. Just last week I noticed what looked like tiny green bits of soil, it looked like moss starting up in the pot. Low and behold it is a bazillion little orostachy plants coming out of dormancy. No stems, no roots, just very tiny little green balls.
I should go out and take a photo.

The iwarenge bloomed, not sure if it had time to mature seed. I didn't look. *Blush*
Wonder if that is why it looks like there are a bazzillion of them?

I just checked on them. It is raining cats and dogs right now. But I did notice that the dead bloom stalks are hanging over the edges of the container.
Hmmmm, guess I'll have to be extra careful about weeding in that area. Rolling my eyes.
