Lovely pictures, all! Thank You!

Paul, that is one amazing red seedling and it would just have to come and live here and bring that cream and purple Taylor iris with it - but alas, I don't have the right climate for them either... so sad...
Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice!

I just got one of Joe's 2015 PCI introductions at our last meeting called 'Red Light District'. This is the only picture I could find of it in our newsletter from last year.. I've had mixed success with PCI's and hope this one does well.. I don't have anything quite like it.

Yes, I still have some in pots here in England. All the French ones are planted, though - d'you think PCIs might like it in Menton? Perhaps just one or two to see how they get on...

Those are stunning, Sherry. I wish there was an Iris society here. I was happy just to check out your newsletter. Once I get to know the gardens & gardeners around this area I would be moved to try and start one. I first need to join AIS.

I ordered 'Impressionist' because I loved how it looked at Schreiner's display garden. I probably am one of the few people to be disappointed(not too much) when it didn't open looking as tailored as an old fashioned iris(it was looking that way in the display garden, conditions do effect blooms a lot after all). It was like, "Look at me, look how many little ruffles I can fit in."

Sherry, I saw Red Light District blooming somewhere this last season. It is a stunner.

Mika, order some seed and try them. PCI seed is not like tall bearded seed. Almost everything that blooms is pretty. For the price of a packet of seed, what do you have to lose?

Thanks, Carl - definitely one to try! Do you think it would be better to grow them in France (10a) than in England (8b)? Or perhaps if I have enough seeds I could try them in both...

I know PCIs have been grown in England. Someone in the British Iris Society would know how.

We had an unexpected rebloom show up.

Warrior Prince by Rick Tasco

Rick says it sporadically reblooms for others, but not reliably enough to class it as a rebloomer.
It's only about 7" high, so about 1/3 the height it should be.

This is the first AB that we have had rebloom.

Mika, Given that Paul is in zone 10b, I would guess that you may have more luck in France.
Sherry, Red Light District looks stunning in the photos. I hope it grows well for you.

Carl, John Taylor is indeed that man.His nursery, ''Rainbow Ridge''is still operating, and I think it is now run by his daughter.
Sherry, thanks for that link you posted for Mounterey Bay Iris Society. It sure puts out an interesting looking newsletter. The pics of Joe Ghio's PCI are something again!!
Mika, wasn't a lady in Canada giving reports of growing PCI there, but they would do better in France, as Robin says, than in England.

This sdl has a nice colour blend to it.(open it to see what I mean)

My first true rebloomer opened early this morning. Had to use my flash a 6:00AM. It's so gold and glittery :)

Gabe, how pretty! Is it really glittery? I didn't know irises could actually be golden, I thought they only appeared a rich yellow color that people called 'gold'. But a shimmery gold...could it really be?...
