Hi all. I've had a Kentia palm for 6 years. Over the last year, fronds started turning brown and leaves drying out. I've never moved it from its location and only water sparingly and occasionally. I decided to repot it with fresh compost. When I did, the main trunk just fell off. I am now left with a clean root ball in fresh compost but no fronds whatsoever. I have left the crowns just above the soil and placed the pot back in it's original position. My question is: is this all in vain or will my Kentia grow new fronds?

Welcome! scowley. Sorry to say Palms will not regrow once the crown is gone.

Thank you Dutchlady1. That is what I feared. So sad, will have to get a new one and treat it better.
