Hi, I am fairly new to plumeria and here in Tampa Bay, FL area and we are about to get hit with a tropical storm. all my Plumeria are potted, I am bringing in my cuttings that are still in the rooting process to keep them dry, but can the rooted plants stay outside or should I bring them in? I don't know how much water they can take and don't want to drown them, a few were just potted this week. It is very humid here lately so they won't be drying quickly.

also, how can I tell when the cuttings are rooted enough to handle the weather more? they are all growing nice leaves, approximately 6 weeks old.

To me it would depend on your drainage vs storm surge. A lot of rain coming in, then maybe move them closer to the house/garage/barn but not where the water does not pour down. Worried too much, then wheel them on into the garage/barn.

Thank you, I will move them back to the patio where its more protected then I think. It will give them a little bit of room in case we start to flood. a lot of rain forecasted Mon-Tues.
I am very excited by mu plumeria, I have fallen in love with these plants quickly. Happy to have found this site, a lot of good information here.

Hi Whitney !! I've buried most of mine pot and all that have leaves..I still have some that are close to producing leaves...I've taken those and put them on the east side of my house under the eaves and made a wooden frame to hold the pots in position...I'm also awaiting Colin !! Stay safe !!!!
