I have two cell phones and one camera - 1) Android phone which is my work phone 2) Apple phone - personal phone 3) Nikon Coolpix

Listing these on ease of use.

Apple phone - Take photo and either 1) send the photo to my web based e-mail then download the photo to my computer then upload the photo to the forum or 2) hook my charger cord to the computer and my iphone and move the photo over tot the computer - then upload the picture to the forum

Nikon Coolpix - this uses a memory card - probably takes the best pictures - and has a little stabilization to it which helps because I have shaky hands - take photo - remove memory card - put memory card in laptop (you must have the connection built in or purchase a memory card hub that makes it to where you can transfer files to your computer) - transfer photo - upload photo to forum

Android - Now I have a google account (so I have Gmail, Photos, Google Docs, etc...) When I take photos with my Android (since I am logged into google on this phone) any picture that I take will automatically be sent to my Google Photos (when your phone connects to a wi-fi connection)- I then go to my laptop - open Google photos - download photo - upload photo to forum

All of this may not help with which camera to purchase but will give you an idea of what you have to go through to transfer. I would call the local pawn shop and ask if they have any cell phones (or Android Tablets) in your price range and then review them on the internet. Many people will get rid of their phones but you can still make use of them - listen to radio stations, photos, alarm clocks, look something up quickly on the internet, etc..

Please pardon me for budding into your thread, but I just thought I let you know that regarding the pictures on your IPhone, you can upload them directly to the forum or Facebook or whatever, without downloading them to your computer. I do it all the time.
My main computer is an IPad and I take pictures with that and go straight from there to our forums here. Same with my IPhone.
Ok, carry on! Smiling
I have been lurking on the Plumeria forum for a while, since I bought 2 Plumies from Ken. ( Which are nicely leafing out btw....)

I use the Fujifilm, Finepix S4000 camera. It has a 30X, super wide lens and 14 mega pixels. It is not as "fine" as some of the Canons, but for my needs, it does well. If I ever upgrade it will probably be to a Canon EOS. The EOS Rebel is a great camera and has been around for a while. It is not all that expensive. As Stewart said, a pawn shop might have several great cameras at greatly reduced prices.

My wife has an I-phone and it takes OK pictures. She prefers to use her (old) Kodak Easy Share Z650 camera when she photographs her artwork. Her camera has a 10X, 200 mm lens and 6.1 mp. I don't even know whether Kodak cameras are still sold. Whistling

After watering all the Plumeria Patch, we have now had a severe thunderstorm move through. Strong, gusty winds, lightening/thunder, and gobs of rain. Several of the plumeria were blown over but I don't think any tips were broken off. Some leaf and flower casualties though. I had staked the Patch but never tied any plants to those stakes. Those that were blown over, have now been tied. I need to strategically drive a few more stakes to make all the tall plants more stable though. It is still thundering and lightly raining and I'm as wet as I want to me. I'll drive some more stakes into the ground tomorrow.

The Plumeria Patch plants are well-watered. Whistling
