Dave--Such a fantastic collection of plants! I like all the varieties and how you have laid it out! Great job! Probably what I would like the most can not be conveyed here. How it smells. The fragrance in your yard must be spectacular! May joy, peace, and happiness fill your home!

Thank you for the kind words everyone. Kind of funny though, other than the lilies in the back yard garden, not much was really planned. A lot of it was walking the nurseries around here and thinking ooohhh I need that. Lol but it has all worked out. Our house was boring when we moved in. Now people walk by and compliment it all the time. Not too bad for a newbie gardener. Lol

There is a nice smell in the back yard from the lilies. Can sit on the patio and take in their fragrance. Or the roses. My little peaceful place

Had Conca d'Or for a couple of years and liked it a lot. Something ate it and have never replaced it, nice to see such a gorgeous photograph of it. Thumbs up

Very nice elegant blooms! Could you please tell me the name of the lily after the hibiscus? Every year it gets better and better! Are you already planning for next year? May you and your family have an overabundance of blessings this year!

Sharon, the lily after the hibiscus is called 'Black Beauty'. I do have some more lily bulbs ordered for the fall, and a few coming from some other sources as well for some one of a kind, rare lilies. Next year I'm going to do an area on the side of my garage that gets only afternoon sun, but grass doesn't grow. So I might put some landscape timbers and add some soil to it. Wife wants more hosta there. I'm against it. I'm not a real big fan of hosta. Thinking about adding another garden in the front of the house too to display more of my lilies, but I live in town and my lot size isn't real big.

Dave, Happy wife--Happy life! Fan or not put in some Hosta for her!
Can not wait to see your lilies bloom next year! The three main plants in our garden are daylilies, iris, and lilium. What lilium has over the other two it blooms the same year it is planted! Grass is overrated! We only have flowers beds and a recycled concrete area for the front yard. May you and your family have a joyful week!

Thank you Sharon. It should be a good lily season next year. I will probably drive everyone crazy with my lily pictures. And I'll probably have a lily fence around my yard Rolling on the floor laughing
