I love the look of this plant & I don't really know how to make it thrive. So far I've read to water when it's completely dry, when it feels light & no direct sun. But my question is when would I transplant it to a bigger pot, right now it's in a 6" pot & I've had it for about a month & it looks like it likes where it is. I know I probably have a lot of time before I do transplant it but when would you suggest & does it go thru shock when doing so.

Hi everyone
I have had my aralia for about a month now and I noticed in the last few days these white yellow dry spots on its leaves.
Anyone knows what are they and what I can do to help it?
I have a feeling the plant is sick.
Also I repotted it 2 weeks ago in a larger
high pot and I have been watering it once a week.
Many thanks in advance

Hi & welcome, Idral! This plant has aphids or whitefly.

Hi Idral, Welcome!

I agree with Tiffany that your Balfour Aralia (Polyscias scutellaria 'Fabian') has some type of pest infestation. My first thought was Whiteflies but if whiteflies are present, you would notice a little cloud of them rising when the leaves are disturbed.

Photos of Whiteflies can bee seen on this page: https://www.google.com/search?...

Information for identification and eradication on this page: https://www.missouribotanicalg...

You didn't show a photo of the entire plant and it's larger and taller pot but repotting can cause undue stress to an already stressed plant and different issues may arise do to the repotting process.
