Your plant here does look a lot like Dennis Kone to me.
Btw - I read that the blooms on Lc Loog Tone are fairly short-lived, a week or less. I used to have one and found it to be true. And Loog Tone is a fairly tall plant in comparison to Dennis Kone.

I'll look at the dates open in my pics.
Looks like in 2008 it was only in peak for 8 days and in 2009 for 20 days. It didn't bloom 2010 and 2011. That's why I bought another. Mine is about the same height as this Choc Drop x.

You know I got my first orchid inspiration at the Reynolda Garden Greenhouses here in Winston. But they got some kind of contagious rot that decimated their collections and last time I went there were very few orchids, mostly other tropicals. Maybe they are back now, will have to check....

Around here a lot of spikes are in the process of opening!
The first is C. Chocolate Drop 'Kodama', two spikes are in the works. The blooms are a bit light here in the bright sunshine.

Laelia autumnalis alba 'Gene May' AM/AOS was a surprise gift this Spring from a gentleman who gave most of his Orchids away to be able to travel worry-free. It managed to produce 4 spikes this Summer and I love it!
