I'm wondering if it would be possible to alphabetize the colors in the details sections of hemerocallis?

I was going to ask for two more colors because it's coming up more often than I thought it would 'Violet' and 'Plum', but I didn't dare ask because we have already had so much back and forth with the detail set-up already. *Blush*

When we set them up, we tried to put them in order from light to dark. Then, we added some other colors as we worked out the details, and they were added here and there. We did have a plan - but now I see they don't appear to be in any order.

Sue, whatever you think as you use it more than anyone filling in the details.

Dave did ask us not to make any more changes this year..... Whistling

Oh, you're just so wonderful Dave - thank you Thumbs up

In the details section for hemerocallis, I would be forever grateful if all the colors were alphabetized. Sometimes it seems my eyes cross looking up and down for the correct color. Blinking

As for the two colors that Sue has requested, I definitely see those colors often in the AHS database as well as Tinkers.

Thank you ever so much - whenever you make or add your changes. Hurray! Hurray! Thumbs up

For flower color, there is an option for "other" that you can use.

Making the colors ordered alphabetically does make pretty good sense to me - it would make it easier to find your color in the list.

Sue: please confirm that you want Violet and Plum added and I will make it happen. And if you want me to change the order, let me know and it'll be done. Also, if you want more colors added, I can do that.

Dave,

I have 3 additional requests for sequence changes in the daylily details at your convenience, whenever you get time, next time you make changes in the database and added to the bottom of your todo list, if Sue approves, and those that have done more details than I.

Under Ploidy - if sequence could be:

Diploid
Tetraploid
Triploid

Under Foliage type - if the sequence could be:

Dormant
Evergreen
Semi-evergreen

Under Bloom Traits - all stay the same except make it this way for these three:

Eye or Band
Edged
Edge no eye

The reason I request this is for efficiency and to narrow the margin of error.

Please and Thank You!

vic

sounds good to me. If it helps Vic, that is good enough!

I have not entered many details yet. I hope to get going on that this winter.

Glad to have the suggestions.

We did promise Dave no more changes this year... Big Grin so it may be a bit before he makes this change.
