I probably did then. I used a gift card so I'll try using that card again and see if I have it on there. I tip my hat to you.

Another sale: Any four roses for $40 or any eight roses for $70.

The eight I bought earlier this year are living happily in 2-gallon containers and are big enough for me to plant them in the garden with no fear of losing them under bigger plants. They'll be going into the ground as soon as the rainy season starts.

Yes, mine are superb growers also! I'm very happy with A Reverence For Roses. Both my orders from them were excellent in every aspect. I tip my hat to you.

I agree and I refuse to look or else I'll be buying some more then trying to figure out where to put them. Bad enough I haven't decided where the 3 blackberry bushes are going although I know where my roses are going. D'Oh!

My blackberry bushes are going in the firepit because they escaped their fencing, invited stick-tite weeds in, and gave all their berries to the birds and deer. Grumbling

I'm thinking of being sneaky and just plopping them in the middle of the yard where the dead grass is. I have a field on one side and woods at the bottom of the yard so limited in places to put it and control spread. I only have the bushes because we love blackberries and my mom's diabetic so trying to plant things we like to eat and save money down the road on food.

It sounds like the middle of the yard may be a good spot; you can keep an eye on them and avoid the delinquency exhibited by Cindi's.

Thank You Zuzu for notifying us all of this site! And thank you Amanda for your recent post regarding a sale there! I tip my hat to you.

All but one of the eight roses I bought at Antique Rose Emporium failed before fully leafing out this year. Reminded me of the experience last time; but I thought that was my fault. I mention this because ARFR has a catalogue that covers a good portion of the roses found at ARE. And the ARFR catalogue holds more appeal to me. The reason I buy two gallon plants is because I know that one gallon plants always beat out bands from the same supplier. But because my recent success has been pretty low I suspect that ARE is not doing something that other suppliers of potted roses are doing. And maybe the idea of stripping roses of their leaves is a truly boneheaded idea. I had much more success with ARE roses before they initiated the practice.

I've had success with Heirloom's gallons this season (though I did lose a rose from failing to drill holes in a new pot.) I've had a remarkable level of success with RVR's bands this season

So... I need to give ARFR a try.

...
edited to say ".. gallon plants beat out bands from the same supplier.." because what was there was untrue and made no sense.

I didn't have good luck with my ARE roses either. I bought 2 Graham Thomas and one is dead and died not long after getting it and the other one is alive and healthy but not growing much. Sir Thomas Lipton is twice the size of Graham Thomas and I got it from ARFR.

Although I'm sorry to hear you experienced the same loss, I'm glad to know it's not just me.
