Thread OP

I'm looking for a distinctive and sturdy rose here in my garden in the Loch Lomond National Park in Scotland.
We have lots of rain so rain resistance would be a desirable quality.
I have been looking at Independence Day, Texas Centennial and Herbert Hoover - said to be good for displays and with a great fragrance.
I have an American Pillar rose and am delighted with it, though I gave it precautionary sprays in the spring against black spot.
The garden is quite sheltered, in a most romantic part of Scotland, it faces south, and has spectacular views to Loch Earn. There are more than 50 roses to look after. Colour matters less than ability to maintain shape. Fragrance also appreciated!

You already ask this question a few days ago. It's not a good idea to keep starting a new thread for the exact same question. You had one response from zuzu.

If you want to bump your question up nearer the top of the list, just post in your original thread something like "still looking for suggestions." And that way, all your responses will be in the same thread. Smiling
