We've had a recent rash of image move proposals submitted by people who don't own the images.
If you submit an image move proposal, the admins have no problem approving the proposal if the image you want to move is your own. If the image was added to the database by someone else, however, it's wrong to keep that person out of the process.
You can either contact the photo owner by tree-mail to suggest that the image be moved or you can click on the image in the database to enlarge it, scroll down, and write a photo comment. That comment will become a thread in the Plant Photos Forum. The creation of the thread will automatically notify the photo owner that the photo is being discussed.
The Plant Photos Forum is frequented by many members, who might join the discussion, either agreeing or disagreeing with the new identification. Ideally, the photo owner will also join the discussion and agree or disagree with the new identification.
The Plant Photos Forum is also frequented by the plant admins, who will take matters into their own hands if the photo owner is no longer active on the site or fails to respond to the thread for some other reason.
